Professional Steam Carpet Cleaning

Carpet & Rug Cleaning

Intensive Carpet Clean is an IICRC Certified Firm. We are qualified and trained to an international standard in carpet and rug cleaning.

Steam Cleaning your Carpets (hot water extraction)

Your residential and commercial carpets are evaluated for their cleaning needs, since every carpet must be treated differently depending on soiling & carpet type.

Once furniture is moved if needed our next process is to begin by vacuuming the carpet with our specialist HEPA filtered upright vacuum cleaner for a thorough removal of dry debris, removing around 80% of dry soils, dander etc before we start!

The carpet is pre-treated for spots and general stains then pre-sprayed.

We deeply inject the pile with heated water (steam) around 70-90 degrees Celsius which loosens up dirty residues and sanitises the carpets and the dirty residues are then drawn out again by our powerful vacuum.

If furniture has been moved we return it back to their original spots and place disposable furniture protectors underneath to protect carpet and furniture while it finishes drying.

Once we are completely finished your carpet is then groomed with a carpet rake leaving it looking beautiful, with no wand lines and footprints left behind!

Dry times are around 5 hours but we can leave air-movers when appropriate if dry times are of a concern.

The steam carpet cleaning method is recommended by the leading carpet manufacturers such as Cavalier Bremworth and should be done at least yearly.

*Breakable furnishings such as TV’s, stereos etc will need to be moved by customer prior commencement of cleaning. Extremely heavy furnishings such as pianos, large units/ sideboards/wardrobes etc will not be moved due to health & safety risks.

Dry Carpet Cleaning

Carpets are intially vacuumed using a specialist HEPA filtered upright vacuum cleaner before we begin, this process removes 80% of dry soilds.

Next we begin by treating the spots and general stains then we move onto pre-spraying your carpets with a pre-treatment product designed specially for dry carpet cleaning.

We then apply micro-sponges over the pre-sprayed areas.  Micro-sponges are a natural sourced product that are Wool-Safe approved, have a fragrant odour and which are designed to absorb soils and residues which the pre-treatment has lifted and kept suspended in the carpet pile.

Then these micro-sponges are brushed into the pile with our European designed brush machine, cleaning and lifting the carpet pile at the same time.

Once this is complete we then vacuum up all the micro-sponges leaving your carpets clean, dry, soft and smelling great.
We return furniture back to its place if it has been moved.

Some customers have made the switch and prefer the dry carpet cleaning method.  However its not always suitable for carpets that are extremely soiled, heavily stained & shag-pile carpets & rugs.  If carpets are in a satisfactory condition or a quick turnaround is required this method is great, leaving carpets dry and use-able straightaway.

Low Moisture Carpet

Cleaning

Great for commercial low profile carpet and carpet tiles.

We pre-vacuum areas with our specialist HEPA filtered upright vacuum cleaner removing 80% of the hard soils, dirt and debris.

We then pre-spray areas with a specific product which "encapsulates" the remaining dirt and residues keeping them suspended in the carpeted areas.

We use a specialised pad that is quickly spun over the areas which works the product deep into the fibre and absorbs surface soils, then the next process starts by attracting and crystallising the remaining dirt & debris bringing them to the surface to be easily vacuumed up,  leaving carpets clean and looking great as seen in the video.

The positive's of this method is that it uses very little water, and it is quiet and discrete so this means that the carpet clean can be done whilst your site is open and operational.  Also this process of carpet cleaning can be performed with less time involved, so is generally more cost effective for your business.

It is not always suitable for every commercial area however, as it may not be as effective on carpets where there tends to be high levels of greasy soils.  We would recommend that these carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction (steam cleaning).

Rug and Specialty  Rug Cleaning

Beautiful rugs are dust collectors, so what we intially do when we receive the rugs are  to vacuum them both sides with our upright vacuum cleaner which has a rotating brush (called a beater bar) on a grated platform.

This vibration statically releases the dirt and dust trapped in the rugs.  This process can take time as we need to vacuum slowly over the rug several times.  You will be amazed at how much dirt is released from them through this action, sometimes it can be a bag full!

Once this is done we then check for fibre type and if there will be any potential dye bleeds.

The we proceed cleaning it carefully according its requirements, and with the correct products which clean safely at the correct pH levels leaving the rugs clean and looking more vibrant.

We treat any spots and stains we come across during this process and can also lighten the cotton fringes at the customers request.

Our technician is qualified to standards set by  IICRC so you can be confident that rugs will be cleaned to a high level.

Rugs can be pick up and delivered back by us for customer ease.
